I don’t want this to sound too negative, but when you compare previous experiences to this new ‘charge for everything’ Disney…it’s not as ‘magical’.

There was more breakdowns of rides than we’ve experienced before. Genie+ was glitchy and to charge for what was FastPass doesn’t feel ok (Disney got their customers used to brilliant features like FastPass and then decided to charge for it…it’s not your loyal returning group of customers fault they don’t like paying for it…) It is also more taxing for your poorer customers who have less disposable income as they are likely to wait a n the lengthy queues). It’s the first time I’ve been to a toilet that’s not as clean at Disney.

Generally the parks were not as clean, which with COVID was a surprise. This is the point…no social distancing is deployed for the paying customers…however interactions such as the Disney characters experience around the park has reduced greatly due to ‘COVID’? about sneezing and washing your hands regularly, however the irony isn’t lost on you when staff members ask you to move up and use ‘all available space’ - we expected it, but thought Disney would at least ensure all the sanitiser stations weren’t running dry of sanitiser - many didn’t have sanitiser. I visited Christmas Day (have done this before) and it wasn’t the same and the staff weren’t as accommodating as per before and it just didn’t have any ‘magic’ to the day…As a European I was surprised by how little Disney and the staff were concerned about COVID. My 9th visit since 1988 (love Disney) and the first post pandemic visit since 2019.
